This March Dytran’s CFO Anne Hackney participated in the National Federation of Independent Business’s California state house visit. The NFIB is America's leading small business association, promoting and protecting the rights of members to own, operate and grow their businesses. The delegates met in small groups with representatives from the House to discuss key legislative issues that affect small businesses in the state. Topics included labor laws, domestic and international trade and its effects on raw material imports for California businesses, tort reform, among many others.
Anne was invited back to the capitol the following week to speak about small to midsize manufacturing business needs in the state and how upcoming legislative issues impact those interests. The talk was very well received and sparked a lively question session with debate. Anne was honored to be invited by NFIB to represent local small business owners and will continue to be an advocate for their interests in the capitol.
