Dytran Instruments Introduces Ultra Miniature Triaxial Accelerometer, Weighing 0.8 Grams
May 30, 2012 - Chatsworth, California, USA - Dytran Instruments, Inc. (www.dytran.com) a leading manufacturer of piezoelectric and DC MEMS accelerometers, force and pressure transducers and associated electronics, has introduced the model 3133A4, an ultra miniature IEPE triaxial accelerometer, weighing just 0.8 grams and designed to mount in spaces inaccessible to other types of triaxial accelerometers.
Available with a 1 mV/g sensitivity, design of the Dytran model 3133A4 incorporates quartz shearing sensing elements with integral electronics, packaged in a robust lightweight, welded titanium cube, with a three foot integral cable terminating to a 4-pin connector and adhesive mounting capabilities. The cable is designed to mate with several different types of Dytran extension cables.
This ultra miniature triaxial sensor is capable of operating at temperatures up to +300°F (+149°C). Model 3133A4 is part of Dytran's 3133A series, a family of triaxial accelerometers featuring the same basic construction, varying in terms of their sensitivity and range. Series model 3133A1 is the world's smallest triaxial IEPE accelerometer with 10 mV/g sensitivity.
The Dytran 3133A series is ideal for shock and vibration testing of very small lightweight structures such as printed circuit boards, board mounted components and other miniature specimens.
