The Dytran model 3225F2 is an ultra miniature teardrop low profile IEPE accelerometer with a sensitivity of 10 mV/g, designed to adhesive mount in spaces typically inaccessible to other types of accelerometers. The sensor has an overall height of 0.20-inches (5.1-millimeters) and weighs just 1.0 gram.

Featuring a quartz shear sensing element in a lightweight aluminum housing, the model 3225F2 utilizes a specially designed 3-56 coaxial connector, mating with a replaceable coaxial cable and terminating to a 10-32 jack. Units are hermetically sealed for reliable operation in high humidity and dirty environments, as well as base isolated to avoid EMI/ground loop interference.
