The Dytran model 3225E2 is an ultra miniature teardrop low profile charge mode accelerometer with positive polarity and a sensitivity of 1.8 pC/g designed to mount in spaces inaccessible to other types of accelerometers. The sensor features a height of 0.20 inches (5.1 millimeters) and an overall weight of just 1 gram.

The sensors are designed to reliably operate in high temperatures up to +350°F (+176°C) and feature a ceramic shear sensing element in a lightweight laser welded titanium housing, with a three-foot removable cable terminating to a 10-32 jack. Units are hermetically sealed and electrically isolated for reliable operation in high humidity and dirty environments, as well as base isolated to avoid EMI/ground loop interference.

The model 3225E2 is a member of the Dytran 3225E series of charge mode accelerometers. All units within the series have a sensitivity of 1.8 pC/g and adhesive mounting capabilities. They differ only in terms of their type of connector, environmental seal and electrical isolation.
