The Dytran model 3191A1 is an IEPE piezoelectric accelerometer with built-in Faraday shield for electrostatic noise immunity, excellent low frequency response of 0.08 Hz and the capability to resolve vibrations as low as 0.000001 g's RMS.

Available with a sensitivity of 10 V/g, design of the model 3191A1 incorporates an annular shear ceramic sensing element, packaged in a highly rugged stainless steel housing with a 2-pin MIL-C-5015 axial connector and 1/4-28 mounting hole. The model 3191A1 was designed to be directly compatible with the Dytran model 6194 Immersion Proof sealing boot (sold separately). When used together, the sensor remains fully functional in an IP65 environment. The sensors are hermetically sealed for reliable operation in high humidity and dirty environments and case isolated to avoid EMI/ground loop interference.
