The Dytran model 3153A2T is a ground isolated IEPE triaxial accelerometer with a single, transverse mounted, 4 pin "Mighty Mouse" connecter wihch allows these models to be used in situations where vertical space is limited. These sensors contain three miniature piezoceramic planar-shear mode elements mounted onto a single ground-isolated support and welded into a stainless steel housing. These three elements are mounted orthogonal to each other in order to measure the complete motion of a point.

Available with a 50 mV/g sensitivity, the Dytran model 3153A2T features piezoceramic planar shear sensing elements packaged in a robust laser welded titanium housing. Units are hermetically sealed for reliable operation in high humidity and dirty environments and ground isolated. Units incorporate Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS; per IEEE 1451.4) capabilities for larger channel count applications. This feature allows users to program sensitivity, model number, serial number, and other attributes of the sensor which can later be recalled on command.
