The Dytran model 3128A is an IEPE accelerometer with ultra high sensitivity of 1,000 mV/g and was designed for down-hole drill head vibration monitoring and other low turn-on voltage applications where supply power is limited.

Sensors developed for down-hole vibration monitoring must be able to deliver accurate and reliable data, while simultaneously tolerating harsh conditions. Critical characteristics of these sensors include a low-profile design, broad operating temperature, and the ability to operate at low power levels. The Dytran model 3128A is ideal for such applications, as it is packaged in a low profile stainless steel housing with a vertical height of just 1.16-inches (29.5-millimeters) and was specially designed to operate from +2.0 to +3.5 VDC bias voltage.

The Dytran model 3128A is designed with 10-32 mounting capabilities and 10-32 radial connector. Units are case isolated to avoid EMI/ground loop interference and are hermetically sealed for reliable operation in high humidity and dirty environments.
